Model A Help

Sun Jan 20, 2013 10:54 pm

I have been restoring my old model A but am facing a big problem. I have stripped most of the paint off but i cant take apart the siren due to the 4 main screws that bolt the back half of the siren to the main front cone. I have tried liquid wrench, wd40 and alot of manpower but they wont budge. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Clamp a vice-grip down on them and slowly, SLOWLY turn them. If you don't go slowly enough, you're going to end up drilling out half the screw, and that isn't any fun. Replace the screws when you're done.
