There are probably over 1000 sirens in the Metroplex. Good luck!

I'm FINALLY going to find out in about 2 hours, how the new Dallas system sounds at our place. I haven't been here on test day since the Thunderbolt at fire sta. 10 was removed. It looks from the Dallas siren map, like we're in the middle between #11 (Rosemeade west of the Tollway) & #16 (Frankford west of Midway). I'm prepared to be disappointed at how loud the 2001s aren't, when not very close by. F.S. 10's T-Bolt was only about 4 short blocks. But I hope I'm wrong  ...

Yes, that's a real 500-lb Federal SD-10 I'm holding (braggart!)

I tried for an Eclipse in Grapevine, but they burned me again. Fool me twice.

I did hear Flower Mound's 128's and Lewisville's southernmost Whelen roar to life right around one. Those things sure do carry.

Just went by rockwall's yellow P-50 erlier today. I need to snap a pic of it sometime. Man that thing is a monster! Here in sunnyvale we have about 12 Whelen Vortex's. Mesquite uses FS 2001's, mostly SRNB's.

I snapped a picture of an ACA Hurricane somewhere to the east of Dallas a few years ago, but I can't remember exactly what city. All I know is that I was traveling down highway 80. Looks like it's next to a car dealership.
