Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

There doesn't seem to be as much discussion about Northern Kentucky's system compared to Cincinnati's. Hopefully, with the system being composed mostly of Modulators (in Newport and Highland Heights) and 2001s (in Wilder and by CVG), it's more reliable than Cincinnati's has been in the past.

Boone, Kenton (My home county), and Campbell are all comprised off mostly 2001s, of the III generation. (That is, excluding a few DCs and 130s, an active Federal Type B, and then inactive sirens in all counties, ranging from Model 5/7s, to STH-10s, to Model 2s, and other sirens in Campbell County.)

There are a couple of active model 5s in Kenton County as well. Both Ludlow and Park Hills have Model 5s on their fire departments.

The Model 5/7 in Ludlow has been removed for quite a while, and scrapped. I'm not sure about the one in Park Hills, given the fact that there is a 2001-SRN in Devou Park. The Model 5/7 does look active though.

Where are the ones in Ludlow and Devou Park?

A while back I started making a map of Kenton County sirens on Bing and had labeled a 2001 as being near Elm and Deverill in Ludlow, but I couldn't find anything in that area on Bing or Google last night, and the 5 was the only thing I could find in Ludlow.

Also, do you know if there's a siren anywhere near Middleton-Mills Park in Independence? The closest one I can find is about a mile and a half away in Ryland Heights, and given that the park is 100 acres, I'm thinking there's another siren close to the park, but I couldn't find anything last night.

I've got around 18 sirens on my Kenton County map now (making a new one in Google).

The 2001 in Ludlow is on Sandbank Road, and the one in Devou Park is near the band shell up on a hill. As for one near Middleton Mills, there is a 2001 near the Cheerokee Learning Center.

According to an old Enquirer article, they were supposed to have 95% of the county covered as of 2000, so I'm sure they've added more since then considering how many subdivisions keep popping up down there. http://enquirer.com/editions/2000/04/08 ... irens.html

Here are a few pictures I took on last weekend's Campbell County Siren Hunt.
EOWS-115 in Bellevue
This first siren is located atop the town hall in Bellevue. It appears to be active, but I am not sure. There's a train pedestrian bridge that let me get eye-level with the beast:

Modulator MOD-4016 in Highland Hills Park
This Modulator, having four active cells and one dummy cell, making it a 4016, is located in Highland Hills Park, and is a replacement for the Ruth Moyer Elementary T-Bolt:

Ruth Moyer Elementary T-Bolt
This Thunderbolt is located snugly atop Ruth Moyer Elementary, and is in very nice condition. It still has its coat of Civil Defense Yellow and the logos are all intact. Sadly, this 'Bolt has been replaced by the Modulator at Highland Hills Park. This is the only standing T-Bolt left in the system:

National Guard Building Modulator MOD-4016
This is yet another new MOD in the system, replacing the Thunderbolt that used to be atop Woodfill Elementary. The T-Bolt (Which, as of right now, can still be seen on Street-View) was taken down due to renovations on the building. This new MOD is perched atop a small hill next to a parking lot in front of the National Guard, overlooking Tower Park and a lot of Southern Fort Thomas:

Fedelcode Model 5 and 2001-SRN in Highland Heights
And last but not least, we have these two sirens at the Highland Heights Fire Department on Renshaw Road. The 2001-SRN is of the III generation and is used as a tornado/severe weather siren, while the Fedelcode Model 5's use is unknown. (Probably nothing) The Model 5 is atop the station, the 2001 behind it:
