I never did get why ACA made both the Allertor & the P-10. I would think they would have done some consolidation to eliminate the similar output sirens.

I think they just wanted to give the siren a better design when they went from making the Allertor to the Penetrator.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

Yeah, and it was also so the chopper/housing wouldn't freeze so badly in the winter.

Its also a lot cheaper to make a penetrator shroud.

Exactly. It's a lot easier to create a round shroud than a unusual Allertor shroud.
