Whelen make some of the best sirens out there; their 435hz ones fail at times though. Those older drivers can pop, and when they do they are hard to find. I am a little happy to see that they have a rare WS-1008; the controller seemed to work fine, but it needs new drivers. I like Whelen sirens.greystripe3 wrote:no wonder its breaking, its a whelen! lolToledo 2t22 wrote:Found a News Story Relating to this Whelen 1000. They sound it around 1:40

BTW: Sirens are a good way to save lives and so is TV and weather radios, but if I hear the wind blowing that hard I think "Warning or not, this s*** will kill me if I don't take cover."
If they need sirens badly they should look into buying some refurbrished sirens, but if their EMA is like some others than he/she would say "no, they're old... we don't need old sirens when our old ones are failing." *What will it be: 2001-130s, or salty ATI sirens?*
