no wonder its breaking, its a whelen! lol

Whelen make some of the best sirens out there; their 435hz ones fail at times though. Those older drivers can pop, and when they do they are hard to find. I am a little happy to see that they have a rare WS-1008; the controller seemed to work fine, but it needs new drivers. I like Whelen sirens.

BTW: Sirens are a good way to save lives and so is TV and weather radios, but if I hear the wind blowing that hard I think "Warning or not, this s*** will kill me if I don't take cover."
If they need sirens badly they should look into buying some refurbrished sirens, but if their EMA is like some others than he/she would say "no, they're old... we don't need old sirens when our old ones are failing." *What will it be: 2001-130s, or salty ATI sirens?*

Do you mean the Whelen-looking thing on Streetview? I believe it's just the silver vent near the siren.

I can't tell exactly what siren this is im guessing a model 5 or 7? I used to live in that town and during recess in elementary school that thing would go off and scare the living hell out of everyone.



looks more like a vertical CLM to me.

If you look closely at the bottom, the "louver" is actually a mounting plate for the siren. To me, it looks like a Darly 2/5

I'm gonna go with a H.O.R. SiroDrone. Sure looks like the one below to me.
