Just as the title says:

The refurbed Allertors of Knox, Ohio. I like their thinking.

I have seen that allertor in Knox Township at the township building in a video that has been posted here on ARS before. It's cool that they're refurbishing them! :D They actually like the older sirens, they aren't trashing them! It's also terrible how that 40V2T in Katy, Texas went silent. :( It took me a minute to realize it, but it looks like there's a bee in this photo (where the man is pointing):

It also says that Sentry Siren is going to fix the siren for free! What a nice company!

Fortunately, I live a county to the west of Knox Twp. and that the fact they test each Saturday at 5:00. So I believe I may have some Saturdays that are free should I want to get another recording.

I knew about the refurbished units since mid last year all thanks to this article: http://tinyurl.com/k7mswgb.

That Knox video was pretty good to me as well.

Sure must have been a lot of bees!! Glad to hear that they "recycled' some sirens, instead of buying new ones.

This siren ran on a 208V setup and took forever to wind up.

Does anyone know where Knox Township bought their Allertors?

EDIT: It says on that article that they got them from the Shippingport Power Plant.

You think they would have noticed the honey running down the pole.

Mud dubbers are a good one for getting into sirens the P-15 Holler put up I had first and the whole Rotater was all gummed up with mud not only was the motor bad but it was not rotating with the mud caked on the chain.

Did the motor go bad in some way?
