Something I thought a bit unusual...

Sat Aug 31, 2013 3:55 pm

Last night I decided to go back through memory lane and browse through The Siren Archive again. When I was looking at Bartlesville, Oklahoma's locations I noticed that this picture of a MOD*1004 seemed a bit unusual, generally about it's controls:

I then further went ahead and pulled up Streetview only to find a closer view of what looks like those original SiraTone controls hooked up to a MOD.

I've compared the boxes to other photos and it certainly doesn't look like an MC or UV.

Should my claim be correct, I thought it would be nice to share this since it's not common at all that you'll find a Modulator with SiraTone controls. I'm guessing that this was probably one of the first units shipped out?

I always thought the first mod's were shipped out with the MC controller. That might just be an MC controller, which was in a box very similiar to the Siratone controller.

Bartlesville in general has always stumped me. I don't think I've ever found all of their sirens. The town is a little weird anyway...it's like split in half.
