i was digging through the "archives" of the forum and found a psot by Archon saying that 5/7Ts were made in 9/12 and 10/12.
is this true, or were they 9/12 only?

It very well could be. I remember hearing theories of 10/12 SD-10s too

That's a myth, not a theory. It was recently dispelled in this thread.
