Here's a recording of these 2 sirens. These 2 sirens look like there were installed in 2012 or 2011. Read video description for more information.

Here are photos of the 2 sirens:

I've heard that recording before. I know of a couple of fire stations in Oregon (Dayville, Wolf Creek) which use two or three sirens of this size. How far does the sound carry compared with, for example, a Model 2?

I don't know. Model 2s are more louder than a Sentry F2. I heard a Model 2 go off before.

It can't carry very far. For what they spent on those two F-2s they could have gotten a Model 2 or a 3v8.

Anderson County has F2s at all of their fire stations. I guess they intend to use them to call firefighters or something.

I'd hate to see these used as a tornado siren setup; the horrid scream of an older ATI sounds better. How much do these cost new?

I think it's $200.

No it's more than $200. F-2's aren't cheap.

F-2s cost somewhere between $1,500 and $2,200 dollars. For the price of those two, they could have got a more efficient Sentry 3V8 or a Model 2.

Siren choice aside, this setup would do good for a town of 200 or less, but anything bigger and it's useless.

F-2's are about $500. The Military version jumps up into the 2k + range.
