Which siren has the most menacing tone?

Any dual tone Thunderbolt siren sounds very menacing, especially during a tornado warning! The T-Bolt's roar will get your attention!
Federal Signal Thunderbolt Series, still the King of Air Raid Sirens!

I would go with the STL-10, it makes me think of something dead. A very long, and low tone that has the sound of bad news.

The FEAR within the sound...........

Given the Location of a SD-10 or Federal 500-T
the direction of the wind after a storm has passed
the slope of a hill etc, etc.
and Lack of background noise , both of the above Federal models
gave me a surprise at least when sounding years ago. 8)

Any siren with a 7/10 configuration, like the HOR.

In my opinion, the siren with the most menacing tone is the Hurricane; it sounds mean in a "happy" sort of way....

I would have to say a dual tone Thunderbolt. The Glassport Thunderbolt restored byJMarcoz sounds VERY creepy. Second would be the SD-10, Dual tone Banshees, and a Whelen attack wail from a distance.

I love the sound of the 2T22 and the dual toned Sentries, but they are too musical to be scary, every time I hear a Sentry I look for the circus

That recording of the T-135 that Eric Green made is downright nasty, it has this ripping, raspy tone that sends chills down my spine. But, give me a T-1000 in between two buildings w/a nice echo, and it's pretty creepy too!

I'd have to say a T-135 sounds the most scary during a tornado warning or any other emergency! :!:

I would have to say the T-bolt as well but the T-135 and T-128 are second runners up. I would love to here the new T-135 ac/dc or as we know it the T-132, I am really curious to hear how much stronger that thing sounds than the 128.
