Lake Dalton TB-1003 to be replaced

Mon Sep 23, 2013 4:08 am

Lake Dalton WI TB-1003 to be replaced the city built a new Fire Station And I figured when this happened they would replace the 1003. The 1003 is going to Prairie Du Sac WI. SO it is not for Sale. Don't know what is going up at the new station but there was talk about putting Mod's up a few years ago or hopefully a 508 will go up. The Lake Dalton 1003 went up in the mid 80's and replaced a Single Phase Model 5. The TB was used in Hi/Low for Fire Pulse for Rescue until about 10 years ago when they stopped using it for fire calls because it caused more traffic problems when it went off the traffic would come to a stop in front of the fire station blocking the way for incoming Fire fighters.

I've driven by that 1003 many times going to the Dells. Why is Prairie du Sac buying it? Not for fire signals I'm guessing.

A lotta this is up in the air but if all goes well Prairie wants to move some things around and fix some coverage issues.

Actually me and Bill had discussed trading a 2t22 I have for the 1003. They would really like an xt22 but don't want a tbolt, but down here Thunderbolts and big, directional sirens are in high demand.

Ah ok, I hadn't heard that. Well regardless it will be interesting to see what Lake Delton has in fact acquired being as that single Thunderbolt didn't cover a majority of the busy city.
