2T22/STH10 stand

So I just bought a 3T22 on a whim (I'll post about that soon) and there is no stand that comes with it. Is there a somewhat easy way to replicate the factory stand? What about for a pole mount only situation? I prefer not to weld anything to the siren, just attach with bolts if possible. I've never messed with one (I pick it up Friday) so I'm not sure what to expect, but a mounting system is my biggest priority once I take the siren apart to refurb.

So it didn't come with a few struts to put the siren on? Odd. Even building mounts come with something like that. I think someone on here was selling their siren with a Pole mount for that. I think it was Luke and his Darley Model 3. IMO I would probably shorten the length of the mount and attach it to a sturdy independent structure (probably a frame of hard wood nailed together). Just a suggestion, sorry if that was useless.

I don't have the pole mount any longer, but with the dimensions you might be able to make one. I think the SD-10 and 3T22 use the same lower cylindrical base, but I might be wrong.

I just used some pieces of L shaped channel with holes drilled for the intake bolts. It was good and stable. Rode 80 miles in the bed of my derrick truck without moving an inch.

Thanks guys, that will definitely come in handy, especially the dimensions. Jeb, where did you get the L channel at? Right now it's strapped down to a pallet so it's fine for transportation. This is the siren and the reason why it doesn't have a stand:

Those L shaped pieces were the pole mount bracket for an EOWS 1212. You can buy L-channel at tractor supply or other places, just make sure it's thick enough. Can't remember the thickness of the steel off the top of my head, but I think it's an 1/8 inch thick. Just get two pieces and weld them in an L shape. For more stability you make the feet on the bottom longer and keep the intake close to the ground. Or bolt it to a heavy piece of plywood or plate steel.

Why not try using heavy Unistrut. That should bolt right to the siren. You can get a thick piece of flat steel to bolt Unistrut anchors to and the whole thing should be stable without any welds. Just make sure it is the heavy duty stuff, I've seen it hold very heavy things up.

I welded together a tripod stand on castors to roll around on the (then) shop floor using L channel steel I purchased from the local hardware store.since the siren came with no lower mount, I fabbed three brackets with holes drilled for mounting bolts, mounted them to the lower intake,then suspended the intake from above & laid out the tripod underneath making sure it was wide enough to keep the siren from tipping over when moving or operating.
