Jungle Jim's Fiery Foods Festival siren hunt

Sun Oct 27, 2013 5:55 pm

As some of you on our Google+ community may know, I went to the Jungle Jim's hot sauce convention in Cincinnati a few weeks back, and did some siren hunting along the way. For those without Google+, I am posting my photos here, now that I am unbanned from the forums...
A majority of them were in Hamilton, but some were in Jeffersonville.

I really do not feel like posting all of them, so here is a link to them on G+: https://plus.google.com/115451157441096 ... UzZ1PD2cLw

Click on the photo of the enlarged 2001 to begin the slide show; the info on where the sirens were is in my post on Google.

Where's the T-Bolt that's before the HOR at?

Yeah, the "I'M ALIVE" thing kinda did confuse me.

Anyways, 4J25, the Thunderbolt before the HOR is at McKinley Elementary School in Hamilton. The school was knocked down and re-built a few miles down street, but the siren remains. Here is the Google Street View: http://goo.gl/maps/KHKg6 (you may need to zoom out.)

Also, it is only about 10 feet above ground. The blower is spread over the side walk (pan and zoom in.)- I stood under the siren and could touch the blower through the bottom if I jumped.

Also, you can tell Hamilton has no soon plans to replace that siren, because the pole looks new, as well as the holding clamps and other stuff.

Thanks for the info.

What I meant by I'm alive is that I have been inactive for, what- a month or two?
