ncovert wrote:Yes. The 2001 Series was introduced in 1988 to be exact.

There was the 2001-AC, and 2001-DC.
I forget when they were replaced by the 2001-SRN and then the SRN was replaced with the 2001-130, which is the current one.
Actually the models go: 1st Gen. 2001-SRN (A.K.A 2001-Roundback), 2nd Gen. 2001-SRN (the first square back with the small inner cone), 3rd Gen. 2001-SRN (large inner cone), 2001-SRNB, 2001-130 and the Equinox (if that counts). -DC and -AC just told the kind of power it ran off of and not the actual siren model. So the 2001-SRN has was the first.

Also to add to the list there were the 2000 and 7000 model Thunderbolts. I forgot what the actual model numbers are.

EDIT: From Wikipedia (If this is correct):
Wikipedia wrote:The Thunderbolt was first produced by Federal Enterprises (now Federal Signal Corporation) in 1952 and its use continued through the Cold War.
There were 3 models manufactured, most of them producing approximately 125dB sound pressure level at 100 feet (30 m):
Model 1000, a single-tone siren capable of two signals (alert and attack). (126dB at 100 feet)
Model 1000T, a dual-tone version of the 1000.
Model 1003, a dual-tone version with the added capability of producing a fire signal with solenoid valves.
Model 2000, A Single tone thunderbolt 1000 with a gasoline powered Roots Blower
The "System 7000" line [1] was a generator back up version of the Thunderbolt. These were available as 3 separate models:
Model 7012, a single tone siren capable of two signals (alert and attack).
Model 7022, is the same as Model 7012, but is dual tone.
Model 7026, which uses a dual-tone Thunderbolt siren to produce six siren signals: wail, pulsed steady, steady, alternating steady, alternating wail, and pulsed wail.
The Jailbar thunderbolts were the earliest thunderbolts made, with bars in the horn to keep birds from nesting in the horn. They are rare to find because the horn design was changed in the mid to late 1950s from Jailbars to a screen instead. The most common type of Jailbar thunderbolt in original condition is the single tone 1000A, but they made few dual toned Jailbar 1000ATs. All Jailbars were fitted with either an A1 blower or a Gas powered blower. These were not specifically ordered models.

Don't forget the Model 5T and Model 7T. 9/12 port. Production ended in 1980's, don't know when production started.
I've always wondered why they didn't make the 5T and 7T 8/12 port, like a low tone model and high tone model in one package.

I suspect the SD-10 was made from 1954 to 1975, per the various early ads & later Federal catalogs.

Here's a Model 1 installation from the mid-1950's. Nothing says intelligent like roofing a former fire station with highly-flammible shakes.

Wasn't the Thunderbolt series discontinued in 1990?
Federal Signal Thunderbolt Series, still the King of Air Raid Sirens!

There is also the EOWS series. I don't know the years.

There was the older 1212 that was renamed the 115 at some point,
the 408, 612, 816 and newer 1212.

Plus the MOD II and all its models from 2013 to now.

I see a few mistakes.

-The RSH-10 (Thunderbeam) was introduced in 1981.
-The STL-10 was introduced before 1955.
-The Thunderbolt 1003 was produced till at least 1986.
-The Thunderbolt 1000 was made for the entire lifespan (1952 - 1990 or 1993).
-The Model 7 was made until at least 1979.
-The EOWS 812 is actually the EOWS 816.
