My trip to Opelika, AL 11/27/13

Thu Nov 28, 2013 10:51 pm

I wanted to do something different, since I don't really get days off on Wednesday and have been kinda stuck around Columbus. After debating on how frozen the roads were, we (my grandfather and I) went off to Smiths Station to try and record the 2001-SRN there. The roads were dry, so we continued to go out to Opelika to record this Mod. I seen two 3T22s at Fire Stations along the way. Lee County usually sets the sirens off in a 1 minute alert, but that was a no-go. The 2001s and whatever other sirens in the area didn't sound and only the Modulators sounded in a Westminster chimes signal. Minus the 3T22s and Modulator, all I seen was 2001-SRNs.

These are bigger than the Whelens around here. Notice the dent.
