It does look like a siren, HOR to be exact but not sure. It does look an air vent also but is in a weird spot and has nothing else like it around. I believe its a siren but what do you guys think it is?
Thanks
Blah, I thought the 3V8 would look just like a larger 2V8...Remingtoncountry wrote:That's a negative. See the chopper? Darley models have a tall chopper which is completely visable. Sterling sirens have a short chopper mostly coverd by the roofKasm279 wrote:Actually, it's a Darley 2V8 or 3V8.Remingtoncountry wrote:That is a Sterling 3v8.
Are you sure it is a Whelen 2802 not a Whelen 2902?ncovert wrote:The first one is a 2802, not a 2902, and the second is indeed a Darley 5/7.TrainsAndSirens1 wrote:First pic, that's a Whelen WPS 2902.iaphonehawk wrote:Thanks! Here's a couple more...

appears to be a Darley but doesn't look like the model 5 we just ID, after these I'll have all my mystery sirens identified, so I guess I'll have to go out and get some more pics!
Second pic, a modified Darley Model 5/7.
It is a 2802. Or it could be an OA-2. The heads are the same but the control cabinet of the WPS models has an extra attachment on the bottom for the voice controls, which OmniAlerts don't have.TrainsAndSirens1 wrote:Are you sure it is a Whelen 2802 not a Whelen 2902?
No. The battery box on the Type 2 and 3 boxes (voice capable) are the battery compartments. They're integrated in the Type 1. Its not an extra box for voice capability.Antiwhoknows wrote:It is a 2802. Or it could be an OA-2.
