It does look like a siren, HOR to be exact but not sure. It does look an air vent also but is in a weird spot and has nothing else like it around. I believe its a siren but what do you guys think it is?

Thanks

This one looks similar to a picture of one in NY on eBay, totally agree with Remmington.

That looks a little bit like the siro drone I found in Charleston, TN last week.
Ripe old age of 26.

Actually, it's a Darley 2V8 or 3V8.
That's a negative. See the chopper? Darley models have a tall chopper which is completely visable. Sterling sirens have a short chopper mostly coverd by the roof
Blah, I thought the 3V8 would look just like a larger 2V8...

appears to be a Darley but doesn't look like the model 5 we just ID, after these I'll have all my mystery sirens identified, so I guess I'll have to go out and get some more pics!
First pic, that's a Whelen WPS 2902.
Second pic, a modified Darley Model 5/7.
The first one is a 2802, not a 2902, and the second is indeed a Darley 5/7.
Are you sure it is a Whelen 2802 not a Whelen 2902?

It could be either. It looks more like a 2802, but my Whelen knowledge is limited.

It is a 2802. Or it could be an OA-2. The heads are the same but the control cabinet of the WPS models has an extra attachment on the bottom for the voice controls, which OmniAlerts don't have.
Federal Signal Model 2-240, Thunderbolt 1000AT, 3T22A
Federal Sign and Signal Model A
Federal Electric Type B
Sterling M Single Head

uncommonsense

No. The battery box on the Type 2 and 3 boxes (voice capable) are the battery compartments. They're integrated in the Type 1. Its not an extra box for voice capability.
