My not-so-new Model L

Fri Dec 06, 2013 5:02 pm

Recently my dad went on a business trip in Texas to work take down a crane a company wanted down. On his way back he called me and told me he had a surprise for me. When he gets home, he takes this very dirty Model L out. I asked "How in the heck did you get it?" He told me that while working the crane down, he found the siren attached/somewhere near the crane sort of hidden away. He asked the company for it and they let him take it. So now I have a Model L to restore! I thought the way he found it was pretty nifty. (And yes, we will start working on the P-10 again soon.

Cool! If it works, then that's all that counts really. Of course, it still would be nice if it was cleaned up. Does it work by the way? :eh:

I will find out once my dad gets home from work. The chopper spins fine, and the housing is in good condition besides all the dirt.

Cool! Those older Federal sirens like Model Ls and such seem to be pretty reliable when it comes to them working.
