Yeah, I've asked plenty of times on here about chopper clearances and still haven't gotten any answers. I don't know if people just don't want to answer or what the problem is. I'm sure people have done it many times and know.

Finally after getting a 1.8mm nozzle put on my sprayer, I did quite a bit of painting this weekend! I finally have gotten used to my sprayer, and found settings I like. I did the cabinets inside and out, including the AF timer, top of the rain hat for the upper intake, and 12 projector insides. I've been figuring out stuff as I go, and how not to do things, like turning things over too soon, and things getting stuck to the cardboard sheets and leaving creases in my paint job. But I guess you just live and learn...

Yeah, except there's a little problem with that. I don't have a ventilator in my heated shop, so there is a coating of yellow dust over everything. All I have is doors and fans. Other than that, since the brutal Minnesota winter doesn't allow me to do it outside, we found something that kinda works.

Yeah you've got to have ventillation. Paint is very toxic. I at least hope you are using an approved respirator, and not one of those dust masks.

Oh yes, I'm using an ASA approved respirator and I change filters every couple days. What size nozzle do you paint with? Sorry I keep asking, but how much did you coat the insides of the stators?

Is that PPG gloss Alkyd UV resistant?I'm just wondering what kind of service life it would have outdoors against direct sunlight. It's got to be better than rustoleum no doubt. looks great!

The body shop guy here in town recommended it above the normal primer/base coat painting. He says it good for the outdoors. He mostly uses it for painting frames of vehicles.

I use a 1.5 nozzle.

Just do a very light coat inside the stators.
