Running a Model 2 on a timer

Hey guys, its been over a year since i posted here, but i have a quick question.
Im thinking about putting my model 2 on a pole on my farm.. I never really payed attention to the different timers i can use to time it, and am wondering what my easiest options are to run attack on it. Do i use an AR or an AF timer? like i said, i don't know what either one specifically does. Some input and help would be much appreciated. I would also be looking to buy one down the road if somebody has what i need. Thanks!

You want an AR timer. The AF timer has another relay and such to control the solenoids in the 1003 and 3T22. Both do attack and alert.

If you're interested in building your own timer, you can get a "digital twin timer" on ebay for about $30 that will regulate the on/rise and off/fall of an attack cycle down to the millisecond. You would need to connect it to a relay to drive your motor starter, and if desired a basic off-delay timer (often around $10) to time the length of the whole cycle.

If you're using the twin timer suggestion, its output would switch the coil of a relay which would, in turn, operate the siren's motor starter relay. If a delay-off timer is used, it would control everything, as follows: Control switch > delay-off timer (e.g. 3 minute on-time) > twin timer (e.g. 8 seconds on, 4 seconds off) > relay > motor starter > siren.

Sorry for the bump, but i have another question. If i wanted to activate it by DTMF, what would i need? I saw a video with a dtmf 8 relay decoder, but what kind of radio do i need? And how would i actually get it programmed? I just need to know what i need so i can go ahead and order it, preferably on ebay, or if anyone has what i need let me know!.
