On a trip back to GA from Myrtle Beach I remember seeing a handfull of those Super Banshee 115's in one of the Carolinas, back towards the GA state line. They were your typical small towns but can't remember for the life of me which towns they were. That was...when I was 10?...

On topic, the Whelen WS-2000R is now a critically endangered species. Before St. Louis County got rid of their old sirens, they were everywhere. Now, there's one in Ida Township, MI (and at last check no one knew if it was active or not) and one at a fire station in PA (god knows if it's still there given it was found 5 years ago).

Also, the original 2001s were offered with a coding mechanism. No way to know if any actually were installed, but the round back manual mentions it and an auction on some round backs showed an early FC controller with a button to activate a fire/pulsing signal. So it was at least offered. Can't for the life of me figure out how that'd work given the 2001's design. The only thing I can think is it was some kind of disc that moved in to cover the ports and retract out toward the exterior of the horn to let the sound out.

Crescent City, CA as I recall. It has since been replaced with an STH-10.

I would say that the ASC Quadren and the Federal Model 1 are quite rare.
