There are actually two sirens up there. If you look closely you can see a Thunderbolt on its side which is confirmed in the satellite view.

Laying? No.
Incorrect.

If you observe closely at these two satellite links you can see that the Thunderbolt was mounted on a standpipe that was about 10-15ft higher than the tallest part of the building.

Furthermore, the blower does not appear to be mounted near the edge of the roof where the head is laying now. The blower is mounted more towards the center of the roof. You can also see very clearly in the Googlemaps satellite link that the standpipe is now on its side with a slight bend in it.

The head is also now resting towards the edge of the roof making it appear to be mounted near the edge on the streetview.

Also if you look on google maps satellite view, you will see the Thunderbolt with the standpipe laying sideways and also looks like it snapped in the middle. Also you can see the blower.

The Model 2s are most likely out in the county in the small towns inside of Walker County, AL.

The thunderbolt is a 1003 that used to be mounted on the courthouse. It must have been replaced recently. As far as the model two's I've never seen any in Jasper, but Oakman to the south has one.
