I'm sorry I am bumping such an old topic, but where does the white wire go that comes from the secondary of the transformer?

If you're talking about the short white wire with a crimped ring terminal, that's a ground that goes under one of the screws holding the transformer to the backplate.

Sorry, I am posting again. I am having trouble with the "Fire" function. I've have spent many hours tracing wires, and marking them on the wiring diagram to keep track of them. When I hook it up to my RC-6 with 3-phase coming in and the switches on "AUTO", the motor contactor nor the flasher is energized. Alert and Attack work fine but just not fire. Here is what the wiring looks like under the relays in the timer. Maybe one of you can spot a mistake. This is extremely frustrating :problem: The relays go from left to right: Fire, Alert, Attack.

When you press the fire button does the third relay engage? Also with power removed check the continuity across the fire cam microswitch terminals. It should change when the lever is depressed and released.

Yes, the third relay does engage because I can hear and see the contact block move back and fourth. As for the "Fire" microswitch, with power removed and I put my test leads across the top and bottom terminals and toggle the switch with a screw driver, nothing happens. When I go across the middle and top terminals and toggle the switch, when I push up there is continuity, when I release it there is not.

I should also mention that before I installed the transformer you sent me, there was a red wire slightly larger than all the others soldered to the right side of the top fuse, and I traced it up and it went to the #10 terminal under the "Fire" relay. After looking at the wiring diagram, and previous pictures from this post, I thought there was no longer a need for that wire, as it appeared to serve as a bypass since the transformer was removed. I tested the timer on 120 volts before I installed the transformer and it worked fine, but I did not test it with the RC-6A circuit hooked up at the time. I removed that wire from both the fuse and the #10 terminal on the relay and soldered on one of the two red wires coming from the secondary to the right side of the top fuse. The other red wire coming from the secondary is screwed into #14 slot on the smaller terminal block. So maybe I do need that wire after all because it completes the "Fire" circuit?

If I have time tonight I'll see if I can have a look at the schematic for the AF timer.

BTW are you sure there aren't blown fuses or anything on your RC-6? I can't remember if the AF timer provides a voltage to close the relay on the RC-6 for the flasher or just provides a contact closure like it does for the main siren contactor.

I am using the one from my manual if you need it. I labeled all the wires on the schematic that I could, but the problem is my knowledge on symbols and being able to find which way the electricity travels through each relay or switch.

There can't be any blown fuses because when I had it hooked up to the AF Timer and the 3-phase at our farm the other day, the motor contactor pulled in and out like normal when I ran a "Attack" cycle. So I know there is voltage present past the fuses. Its only when I press the "Fire" button when the motor contactor and the alternating flasher do not operate. I can also operate both of them manually using the two switches.
