Thunderbolt 1000 restoration - Paint and Decal question

Wed Feb 26, 2014 2:34 pm

All;

I'm in the process of restoring a recently acquired 1003 and I would like to know what size was the round "CD" decal on the rotator box (or a source for purchase), and what is your prefered color and brand of paint? This is going to displayed indoors so wear and tear is not a big issue. I'd like to keep as close to the original color as possible. Thanks in advance for your help!

Decal that goes on the rotator box is 6" in diameter, suburban accents sells them.

Since it's going indoors paint it Rustoleum Sunburst Yellow and call it done.
