Another Model 2 gets installed in Huntsville

Sun Mar 02, 2014 6:24 pm

Another Model 2 went up here in Huntsville, AL recently. This siren replaced a Thunderbeam that had been missing it's motor. I assume this is only a temporary install until FEMA approves the new Sentry locations. The Model 2 appears to be an older model. It's located on Meadowbrook Drive

This truck from Georgia was nearby. I think it had been used to help install the siren.

I'm almost willing to bet that the housing came from Jonesboro's old 2.
Ripe old age of 26. I'm quite fond of alcohol and telephone relays.

Maybe, but I've found another Model 2 on Redstone Arsenal that's a similar style, so I think this one came from somewhere else in Madison County, housing included.
