Fort Worth Sirens Being Prepped For Spring

Sat Mar 15, 2014 7:22 am

The local NBC station did a news story on Fort Worth's siren system which I thought I'd share...

Some how they managed to get me in the midst of working so there is an appearance by me.

That's cool, that they showed you working on it! That's great advertising too for your company. I had always figured that the sirens in most cities were worked on by city or county workers, but between you and several other private contractors on the board, I guess a lot of cities are farming out the work.

Yes, that's a real 500-lb Federal SD-10 I'm holding (braggart!)

The one by my house is still broken, Bryan.................. :P (Nevermind that the closest unit to me actually is an RM-130 belonging to another city.)

That unit has some serious issues! I went by it to get a look at it. I'll probably get to it this week since i'll have the lift all week

Doesn't Ft Worth still have one inactive Thunderbolt still up that was never taken down?
