1st post and new acquisition

This is a public photo share of the siren I just acquired. It's currently in service at a small town water treatment plant. It will be removed and on its way to me in the next 2 weeks!

Welcome to the board! Nice choice for a first acquisition.

Where is it located at the moment?

Awesome man! Hope you enjoy the thunderbolt. That's a late A2 4M roots blower. Not a bad find at all :D

Congrats! Is it dual toned? Are you going to get the controls too? That would be sweet!

It is currently in Minnesota and they think it's only single tone, but they don't really know. I had to buy it blind but with a non technical locals help.

I am getting everything on the poles as they do not think there is a control panel inside the water treatment facility so I am assuming the controls are in one of the boxes. They said its only hard wired to an electrical panel inside the facility.

My suggestion: Make a note that everything on it is heavy. The panel itself is around 75 pounds. The blower is around 400 to 500 pounds and the siren head is a bit over 300 unless you take the horn off. That will save about 80 pounds from the whole head all together.

That is a nice choice for a siren; "classic American sirens" sure can catch some interest! I cant wait to hear/see how it turns out!

Thanks very much, and weight doesn't scare me much.

I have been looking for a late model for a few years. I had really hoped to find a dual but I felt I could sneak this out the back door without competing with any of YOU LOT!!!

Tough to find a deal these days!

Best

Welcome to the siren board. Your first siren a Thunderbolt, a working Thunderbolt, must be rich or lucky! Enjoy your siren.
