MCP Controller. I guess this siren was put in when the county got it's first 2001s, since the controllers on those 2001s are painted like it.

2001-SRNB-AC at 341-367 E Glenn Ave: This siren has a newer FC that has that stainless steel look like the UV on the Modulator I recorded. Makes me wonder if they were put in at the same time.

Is it just me, or does that pole over near the Phenix City whelen look like an old siren pole?
Ripe old age of 26. I'm quite fond of alcohol and telephone relays.

The Smith's Station 2001 is actually and SRNB. You can tell because the power conduit goes into the side of the rotator box.

I guess I just don't understand the reason for installing a DSA configured quite like that one is. It would seem to me that a Mod 2008 would be a much better choice for true 360° coverage. The whole point of the DSA is to focus sound toward specific directions, not to provide 360° coverage.

But what do I know?
