Looks like you have a 1978 unit judging by the blower motor's ID tag

Congrats!

Pretty manageable if you ask me... Thanks for dating the blower. Looks like they updated the controls in the early 2000's.

No problem. The way you can tell the dates is after the serial number there will be a code like A76, which would correspond to 1976. This applies to units made AFTER 1976. Before '76 are just guesstimates on the production year basically. The controls do look like late '90s ones. I have no idea how to date those though. They are manageable if you know what you're doing.

Either examine the rotor through the chopper cap opening or pull out the chopper are going to be your best bets.

They cut the pipe and left it attached so that's going to be a project for another day.

Yikes, that RCM looks like a mess. cool that you got the FC with it. FC's are great controllers.

Interesting... Mine had a cut pipe too. We had to actually remove the mounting flange to get it to stand up.

I am going to try this again but adding two pics crashed me. After being gently encouraged I decided to attack it with a can of pb Blaster and what are now 3/5 swollen knuckles. 3 hex heads came out nice and easy.. 1 will be engraved on my tombstone. Yes I damaged the magnet and its little spring. By the way its 3/16.
