Bloomdale, OH VFD 3T22 Attack 7-1-14

Well I wasn't expecting this to actually happen, but it did. Bloomdale tests their 3T22 before their VFD Meetings. Their fire signal consists of three minutes of attack. This siren is located in the center of the village a few blocks away from the station. I had a hard time getting a place to record since the church parking lot and the streets surrounding the church were full. As soon as I saw a spot open in the parking lot I nabbed it and recorded from inside the car. The spot I took put me a little closer than I wanted to be but the video turned out pretty good. 3 Minutes of Attack ≥ 30 Sec. Alert 8)

How close is this to Columbus and how often do they test? I would like to come up sometime and check it out.

If you head up US-23 you could get there in somewhere around 2 hours. Although I know traffic is horrible on that first 20 or so miles of 23 going out of Columbus so who knows how long it really will be. I sent you a PM

Thanks for the memories! This 3T22 is the one I grew up listening to; the 3T22 replaced a Sterling M-10 that used to be on the VFD's rooftop

I don't even think they are still there. I drove all over town waiting for the test since I got there about an hour early and didn't see any. I did have my eyes open for them though ever since I found three model As when I went down to Cygnet for their noon buzz on their model 7. They are still on Google maps so I guess I could have missed them... certainly couldn't hear any being so close to the main siren.
