The bottom bearing is stuck as well, sprayed some Liquid Wrench on it and letting it soak.
Is that a pc speaker in the box?

It is there probably for the guy that services it. I need to build a removable speaker that connects to the FC's that I work on so I know it receives the codes.

UPDATE: Took it completely apart, cleaned the connections, put it back together and applied 120. Doesn't run. :( It is a 240 model but since it is a repulsion motor it should run at 1/2 speed at 120, so that either means the armature or field is bad. Either way it's gonna be expensive.

I sent out my field to a motor shop and had it rewound in about 2 weeks for 100 bucks. Test it with a multimeter to find out which piece is bad.

Both sides read 1ohm. I have 2 motor shops near me, I'll be taking it back apart shortly and taking the armature and field to one of them. Once they tell me which one is bad, or both, I will either have the field rewound or buy a new armature through Federal.

Before you get a new armature keep in mind they are different than older Mod 2/Thunderbolt armatures.
There are about twice as many windings in an older type armature than the newer armatures.
If you use a new armature with an old field the motor will run slow. I found this out with the Thunderbolt in Melrose NY.
I sent them some parts when they restored their fire station Thunderbolt. One of the parts I sent them was a newer type armature.
This is what the Melrose Thunderbolt ran like with the old field/new armature combination.

I sent them a new type field and then it ran at normal pitch.
If you have an old type armature I think the rewind price is about the same as a new armature from Federal anyway.
I got a quote on rewinding a Thunderbolt armature several years ago from the motor shop I usually deal with and that
was the case back then. It was about $250-300 to get it rewound.
I hope it won't come to that for your 2T though.

Yea I'm pretty sure it's the field. It was acting really funny when I was Ohming it on the multimeter, it wouldn't get a steady reading. How can I tell if I have an older or newer type of armature/field?

Cory and I tried it on 240 and it runs! Needs new brushes though hence the insane lightshow lol. Guess I'll have to order some through Federal.
