Sarnia is mostly ATI's, I would think they stuck with them.TurbopropPilot wrote:I am going to assume that these new sirens are either Whelen WPS or FS Modulators? Does anyone have any additional leads?Description: Additional sirens have been installed north of Wellington Street in Sarnia. Siren testing is being conducted today and the public may hear sirens and PA messages.
Eh, dual tone? That's a first coming from ATIModel2 wrote:Sarnia installed 5 new dual tone ATI sirens yesterday in areas north of Wellington Street.
Official press release indicates there are now 15 sirens in the Sarnia area which includes 3 in Aamjiwnaang, 3 in Corunna, 1 in Point Edward, and 8 in Sarnia.
When I was in Sarnia last month there was a new ATI at the Walmart on Modeland and Exmouth, and there has been a new ATI in downtown on Maxwell and Christina since April. If they installed 5 new sirens just yesterday in Sarnia, that should mean there are now 10 sirens in Sarnia and 17 in the area, because one of the new installations was replacing a 2002 model ATI siren near Bluewater Hospital.
Replacing an ATI that's barely pushing twelve years. Definitely not the first coming from ATI.DJ2226 wrote:Eh, dual tone? That's a first coming from ATI
The siren that was replaced only had two sets of horns pointing south and west. They wanted a full unit in that spot to cover the centre of the city. http://goo.gl/maps/EvdjkSirenMadness wrote:Replacing an ATI that's barely pushing twelve years. They are ATI'sECwindsor wrote:Some new info on the sirens, The City of Sarnia conducted siren tests for all municipal sirens 3 days in a row! We will have to wait and see what sirens they are once myself or someone confirms the model!
Most likely. I saw one on a new pole while entering Sarnia via the Lambton College entrance.Model2 wrote:They are ATI'sECwindsor wrote:Some new info on the sirens, The City of Sarnia conducted siren tests for all municipal sirens 3 days in a row!
