San Francisco old siren system questions

Tue Sep 30, 2014 5:10 pm

Hey guys, I know that San Francisco's old system was STL-10's, Model 5's, and a few Thunderbolts, but does anybody have any pictures of the old system before it was replaced? This is the only picture I could find:

I cannot tell you how long I have looked for a pic of one of the STL-10s!!!!! Yea actually if you go to google maps and look up at the ferry building right behind the ATI on the left (I think) you can still see the thunderbolt 1003 that sits there. There is also still a model 5 out there... I just can't remember what building it's on. There might still be one thunderbolt besides the ferry building one but I am not sure. If I happen to find some pics that weren't already shared on here I will pass them on. Hope your trip is going well!

EDIT: Here is another one of the STL-10s: http://mistersf.com/images/siren02.jpg

SECOND EDIT: This pic has already been shared on here but here is one of the thunderbolts: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/yuandre ... e.jpg.html

FINAL EDIT: http://cbsla.files.wordpress.com/2012/1 ... 915812.jpg I THINK this is one of them in SFO. It could also be from another area of Cali... But it is a good looking STL-10 nonetheless.

There is a Model 5 at Fort Mason. I remember seeing several of the old sirens. Most were on rooftops and some were STH-10's.

If I recall correctly, there's an ATI mounted on a thunderbolt blower at some school in SFO.
