I always wondered what that siren was.

I keep hearing recordings of it all over youtube and such. I think the wind down is too short to be a T-bolt 1000. I think it may be an artificial sound effect.

This recording/synth also reminds me of this Tbolt 1000 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pu8aqHbhcLE The sound of this recording/synth has a weird "nails on chalkboard" effect for me, it's one of the only siren sounds I find even remotely scary.

I think it is a synth. I do not think any siren alone can produce that noise, not even a dual tone siren I know of. The wind down is too short for a Tbolt 1000, and it seems heavilly edited.

It is most definatley a synth though. I do not think sirens can naturally sound like that. It could be a synth using the model 2 as a base, but I do not think it is a real siren, at least not entirley.
