The borough of Englewood Cliffs, NJ replaced their three fire sirens with newer electronic ones sometime within the past year. The old system consisted of a Model 5T/7T at the Borough Hall, a Model 2 on Johnson Avenue, and a Model 5/7 (likely a 5T/7T) at the Japanese Children's School on Bayview Avenue.
The new siren at the Borough Hall was installed in the same place as the old one. The one on Johnson Av. was installed at the far end of Witte field, due to the Model 2 being too close to the playground. The new siren in the south side of the borough was installed on Van Nostrand Av. near US 9W because the Model 5/7(T) was too close to the Japanese School.
Anybody know what kind of sirens the new ones are? My guess is Whelens or maybe Modulators. Do you know if the siren on Bayview Av. was a Model 5/7T or just a regular single-toned 5/7? My guess is it was a T because the one at the Borough Hall was.
