Updated Some of My Maps

Sat Jan 31, 2015 5:39 am

Russell County, AL: The system consists of 42 sirens currently. I've mapped out all 20 of the 2001-130-DCs installed in the system, but I don't know where the remaining Vortexes are. There appears to be a large gap in the Ladonia area, so I'm guessing that is where the remaining two are. I've also found out that the newer Whelen Vortexes are all online. They have a PDF that lists multiple future sites, so I went ahead and included it in there (linked below, D-1, first 20 X's are 2001's and others are Vortexes). I'll talk to the EMA to see if they intend on putting more Vortexes up in the future or if they plan one going to a different dealer, though I think they may stick to McCord. I think they like the Vortexes better than the 2001's... who wouldn't? Still don't know if the old 2001 in Hurtsboro is activated by the county or not and when it's tested. I'll give the fire station a call and see one day and find out.

Cusseta, GA: The system consists of 6 16V1T-B's. I found the remaining 4. Sirens for Cities did a fine job on the installations.
