Sounds like the blower is running backwards on that one too.

So does the B series. The vertically mounted blower was introduced with the B series and carried over to the C series.

Not originally. There might be some out there though. Federal sold a Hinged Blower Housing Kit for the A series.
Installation instructions are in the C-Series Thunderbolt manual on page 5-16A.
I don't know who would have gone to the trouble to install the kit.
It even included a different relief valve body in case the original relief valve didn't allow clearance for the blower cover to close.
