Re: A couple questions about my STH-10

So, not that I am even close to this stage, I am considering doing alternating black/cd yellow on the horns, maybe black on the pole mount, yellow on the siren stator, and yellow motor with black end bells. What do you guys think of that color scheme? Sort of going after the bumble bolt look.

Hmm, I thiught I had already done this(updated progress), guess not. I have made quite a bit of progress with the siren. I did end up having the motor rewound, I believe it cost right around 750. I planned on repainting it before assembly, but after pressure washing it i found the paint to be in good shape so I will probably wait to repaint it or do it partially assembled. I also have tested it but unfortunately not at full power. I have a vfd set up at my house that is more than capable of running it but I am in town so can't sven approach a full power test. Right now it is located at a friends house where we cobbled together a rotary phase converter. Again though it was not possible to do a full power test as the 60 amp circuit feeding the garage would barely even start it. We did get some speed though. Current state of things is the siren is still at my freinds house as they are planing to upgrade the service to be garage so we should be able to get a full power test at that point.
