Interesting combination of Federal models in small-town Iowa

Sun Jun 28, 2015 4:00 am

Greetings, board!

I'm a long-time severe weather enthusiast with a 5 year-old son that has a keen interest in sirens. We literally need to stop the car and allow him to inspect every time he spots one...and he's quite adept.

Headed back to Des Moines earlier this evening, we drove through the small town of Melcher-Dallas, Iowa, where two 3t22 models were spotted, and one I'm fairly certain was an Eclipse8 Electro - all three in this tiny town!

I've attached two images to make certain I'm sharing accurate information with my son.

I'll add that I'm pretty surprised a town with relatively small square mileage is in need of so many sirens! No complaints, though, certainly.

Keep up the wonderful work you all do here. I appreciate the passion and the educational value. And I hope to be able to contribute more in the future!

Yep, the top one is an Eclipse-8, and the bottom is a 3T22.
Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the forum! We hope you enjoy it here.

And yes, as Mark stated, you are correct.
