Worst place for a siren?

At the corner of North Bend Road and Colerain Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio a T-128 is installed right in front of the Mount Airy Water-tower. A local siren installer said that at that location it would be hard to pole mount the siren without the sound being blocked by the water-tower. Why didn't the outside company that installed the new sirens just mount onto the water-tower? Notice the Thunderbolt on top of the tower. That is where the T-128 should of been mounted.

I wouldn't necessarily blame ANS since Hamilton County originally proposed for it to be pole-mounted next to the tower anyway, but not in the exact location it's in.

That's true. I forgot someone in the county decided where the new ones would go.

This siren in the link below seems to me like it would be dangerous to work on because it is on a cliff and on a inclined road.

These are just off the top of my head. There aren't a whole lot of bad ones in Chicago like this though. But when you are dealing with the 3rd largest city in the country's downtown area, there really are only so many good places to put them. This is why there are so many down there, sound doesn't get very far.
