My best guess is that it's a nine-port HOR with custom horns attached for distance coverage. There are several sirens like this in Oregon (without horns), one of which is in John Day. This one has a custom cap like a Model 5.

It's time for another edition of Brain Flatulence!

I stumbled across this little guy in May while hunting in Crossville, Illinois. It's very definitely a Federal variant of some kind, probably a 2, but what exactly is it? I can't say I recall seeing anything quite like this in my travels.

(By the way, no, I unfortunately did not snap a photo of the label, nor did I notice it in the field. Probably Fedelcode.)

Really? I thought Model 1's has all of those louvres coming out of the housing, like the one in Oregon.

Well now that you think of it, it could be a Model 2. I said Model One because that post has a bigger diameter than the housing, and the siren is only smaller than that housing.

Hello, today, during my virtual research for sirens on Google Maps, I find this siren, which looks like a Darley Model X.
