If it still runs, keep it. It's still outrageously loud. I think Chicago had a bunch of these, but, junked them prematurely. Too bad there's no videos of 2 head 2 tone Sirexes around.

If I recall correctly don't super sirex's sport a 40 or 50 horsepower 3 phase motor?

Earlier ones were 50, the later ones (ones that we see today) are 40.

According to the victory siren site.

In 1954, Chicago had 77 siren locations. 2 were vacant, 1 5hp Federal, 15 7.5hp Federals, 48 10hp Federals (STL 10), 5 40hp H.O.R, and 5 180hp Chryslers. 10 sirens were added in 1955, my guess is Thunderbolts.
