Noon Blasts in Illinois?

Sat Oct 10, 2015 1:00 am

Just curious if there are any siren's in Illinois (preferably near the Chicagoland area)that did a daily or weekly noon blast.

Calumet City Illinois does a weekly 3 minute test of their 2001's every Tuesday at 10:30am.

I heard Rosemont tests their three Whelen's (two 2910's and a 2720) every Monday at 6:00 PM

Not a noon test but Summit IL and Blue Island IL both use sirens for curfew.

Is it daily, and what sirens do they have? I would assume that they blast at 10:00PM.

I'm not entirely sure on Blue Island. May just be weekends. But I have heard it at my house and I'm in Oak Lawn. Summit is daily. BI has at least 1 tbolt left and a few 2001s. I usually hear the tbolt wind down. Summit has a tbolt and a model 5, but I think only the tbolt is used for curfew. It goes off about 10 seconds or so. Very short.

Just looked it up. Blue island is at 10:30 pm. Summit is not listed but I remember it being 10 pm
