I recorded that siren back in 2010. It was one of the more difficult sirens to access since it was located off the road in a part of town usually closed off for industrial work. Here are more facts about this siren.

Iron Ridge's Soundmaster 115 was installed between 1967 and 1974. It was a two signal model, however it used the same taller intake and solenoid valve space as the three signal models.
Soundmaster used whatever parts they had available for assembly.
The discs were arranged for long distance coverage, with extra large discs projecting the high pitch 12 port chopper's sound.

This siren used to go off at 12:00 daily for a time signal blast, then was tested on Saturdays at 12:30 PM.
From Highway 67 it always looked like a little UFO floating in the trees.

Siren was removed in 2011 after it stopped working. They didn't go into many details when I asked about it, but they scrapped the siren after its removal. It's history.
They still have a 2T22 near the water department and an STH-10 on the other side of town. Same testing time at 12:30 PM on Saturdays.

The strange tremolo sound is the result of its projection discs beginning to go loose. The Taycheedah video is an example of what the Soundmasters should really sound like. Same with Westy1962's videos recorded in Columbia Heights, MN. No tremolo.

Thanks! Even if it has a problem, it still sounds better than other SoundMasters.
