A potential new siren from ASC

I was just browsing Facebook today when I happened to find this; it looks to be a design similar to that of a Whelen or an ASC Quadren:

No. Copyright is for printed material and works of art.

Now the issue is patent related. The 2700 speaker and driver are patented. But what ASC has may look similar, but isn't even remotely similar in function and execution...starting with 4-100W drivers per cell oriented horizontally instead of 1-400 W driver vertically. I'm no patent lawyer but you can't patent a exponential horn stacked on another.

Now what I foresee is driver replacement being a pain. Wonder how that'll be mitigated.

I think ASC will do a driver removal method kind of similar to Whelen's method. They will have a little area that is connected to the driver and is removable, but instead of one location, it can be one on all 4 sides of the cell. I don't think it would be on the bad part of legal grounds, but I don't know.

It would be cool to see a siren like one of Whelen's omnidirectionals but with a large chopper/rotor in each layer, like a triple-stacked Model 5! :O

It looks cool. What has took my interest is the new motorised sirens they'll be releasing. I just hope they would be dual tone with 12/10, 12/9 or a 12/8 rotor & stator used on the new motor sirens with some ACA predecessor in its design.

I am not certain on the design of the new mechanical design, but unfortunately, it will most likely be single toned, unless they make some sort of "octave" siren (but that seems highly unlikely) as dual toned sirens do not get as good of a decibel reading and the sound does not carry as far as a single tone Model. Despite this, I still cannot wait to see the new models. (Also, thank you for moving this topic to the main forum; it now makes a lot more sense.)
