Has anyone here ever been to the Glacier Park Lodge in Montana? I went there this summer and it looked like there was a small green siren on the roof. It looked a bit like a federal model X or something similar. It was on top of the chimney, but it wasn't connected by any pipes to the chimney, it was on legs. It might have been a smoke baffle, but I doubt it. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures, I'm too lazy to put the pictures on to a computer and upload from there.

I'd also like it if someone could help explain the differences of federal model Xs are.

EDIT: You can kind of see it here, but it's very grainy, and was taken from very far away. It is on the chimney to the very right. I did not take this photo.

I think it's a Federal Model 3.

Model 1: About the size of a Model 2, just with 5? louvers.
Model 2: A small-ish siren with 3 louvers. 2 closer together.
Model 3: Slightly larger than a Model 2. Has 2 louvers the same size.
Model 5: Slightly larger than a Model 3. Has 2 louvers, the bottom one is larger than the top one.
Model 7: Same thing as the 5, just slightly taller?

Pretty sure that the Model 5 and Model 7 look the same.

Pretty sure the 5 and 7 are identical, just different names on the tag, like the C3 1/2 and the 5. As for the Model 2, Synther is correct, 3 louvers, two close together; but their position depends on the type:

The lower louver on a Model 5/7 might also be the same diameter, but at a steeper angle. I've heard that these are Fedelcode models, but there has been no conclusive evidence to support that.

Hello everyone. Have a, interesting, mystery siren here at Pooletown Fire Department Station #69. I initially thought this was a Federal Model B, but on closer inspection, the right-chopper is clearly dual-toned.. Any ideas? I was not aware the Model B even -existed- in Dual Tone.

Now THIS is an interesting find! I actually made a topic about these, as I found a picture on another one of these:

Not many people know much or have seen these in the wild, but the stators and the motor cover makes it a dead giveaway that it must be a Model B.
