American Signal Corporation: These are two different models of electronic sirens.

But I am excited! Except for the fact I haven't been a fan of ASC's electronic sirens... ever :/

I particularly got interested in their electronic line up after the 3200 watt I-Force video that was posted here a few months ago. I can't wait for someone to video a 3200 watt one in service with the new attack tone. Who knows maybe they will implement the new attack tone into the new model.

But then again it's just a drawing on paper and we can't really judge on what it will be like until they make the siren or give us more information

3200W video? Can I see? :innocent:
I own: One complete SiraTone, another SiraTone control module, a 1600W MC, 2 old ATI controllers, 2 round ATI horns with drivers, a ATI-DSA 4 thing, a Federal Signal FC, AR timer and Siratrol, and a small CD&F.

Edit: I can't seem to be able to link the post. I'm sure someone else might be able to I'm probably just having a brain fart and not doing something right

Edit: I do believe this is it the only difference is that the wail/attack tone has a wind up compared to the 1600 watt I-Force

Yes, it was a STi-3200. That particular siren was actually playing a low quality synth and was tuned to put out 2800 watts because they didn't want to blow the guts out of the drivers and amps. You can tell it was a pretty harsh recording.

If its ever made, do you think it would be part of the Alertronic series? Or is that series done?

The Alertronic series died with ACA if i understand correctly. I'm thinking it'll probably be part of the I-Force series. Or it could be the start of a new series.
Down to a Thunderbolt chopper, still a few goofy flashlight-siren combos, and a Model L.

uncommonsense

You don't. Alertronics were made well into the mid to late 2000s.

Yes, Alertronics were made under the American Signal name. They were (Supposedly) known as the RE-1600. Interestingly enough, they seem to be more uncommon than the ACA Alertronic AL-6000R.

It apparently was on their site all the way up to December of 2010. During that time the omni version of it coexisted with the E-Class and I-Force. I believe the two rotating sirens with 4 and 8 horns, I would guess the smaller one was 800 watts, were also available for special order and showed in the catalog.
