Ah, yes! I've been looking for some of those Rockwall Alertronics! And thanks for the other locations as well!

I have yet to add many locations. There are so many!

Another one in the Lone Wolf area: https://goo.gl/maps/9PNrJ2npSLw
The SV imagery on that one leaves a lot to be desired, but if you move around a bit toward the south, you can see that goofy battery box jutting out from below the control enclosure just like the others have. I feel that there's likely more in the area, so if I find any more of them I'll just edit this post and add them here.

This thing is/was in Denison Tx behind the main fire station. Don't know if it's still there.
These pics are from 02-2002

2008 street view shows it was still there then.

I poked around and found a couple more RE1600s in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The town operated them and a couple AL-1000s or 2000s and replaced them with 3 sirens, 2 of which are T-128s, indirectly in 2011. These installations in particular are interesting. They have newer style stainless steel boxes with the old ASC logo. I'm wondering if these could be possibly be the last of the rotating Alertronics made, unless ASC upgraded the panels on them after the installations that is. The third siren could have replaced one, but that's where I hit a snag... Google hasn't updated the aerial imagery, although the street view is oddly up to 2014, and while Bing has more up to date imagery it's too grainy and has some clouds. The town has grown out over the years.

Unfortunately, the Allertronic at the central fire station in Denison was replaced with a T-128 a few years ago after it was hit by lightning.

Denison, TX still has at least two more that I have been able to find while driving through.
This one is by another fire station near 2703 W Morton Street.

The other one is on 214 W Coffin Street.

The original Alertronic's platform hood was the same as those used for the P-10/15 and Allertor sirens.
I have also attached a modeling profile guide for those who might be interested in replicating it in small scale.
Finally, Altoona, WI had a four-throat siren located on 1720 Vernon Street. It has since been replaced with a 2001-130.

Yes! I live in eau Claire, I completely forgot about that one. They actually had 2, possibly 3. The one you mentioned on Vernon st, replaced by the 2001-130, this one near the trailer park on us 12, replaced by a 2001-130, but Bing birds eye view still shows the old and there is a 2001-130 up on a hill above the high school by the water tower, probably was an alertronic, but Google street view doesn't go back in time far enough to know if it was or not. I can't tell if that's the present 130 or an older version.

Interesting find.

Sun Jan 17, 2016 8:08 pm

Most of ACA's prototype sirens were installed just like their production counterparts. The city of Amery, WI had a prototypical Alertronic 6000. It was removed years ago and sold through an auction.
The main difference between this siren and the majority of production 6000s is the Penetrator style rotation platform. This was changed to a more enclosed mechanism as seen on most 6000s.

They also had a Whelen siren which was sold alongside the Alertronic 6000 - apparently they both sold for the amazing price of $51.00.

Here is the auction link with lots of photos. http://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/auctio ... auc=765468
