Something different about the Wisconsin Statewide Tornado Drill this year

Thu Mar 10, 2016 1:05 am

So I found this link about the tornado drill on April 14th for the State of Wisconsin this year and something I found to be a little shocking. Not only will every tornado siren across the state of Wisconsin sound at 1:45. They will also be sounding off at 6:55 PM this year. Don't believe me? Skip to the third paragraph in this link I found: http://emergencymanagement.wi.gov/news/ ... Packet.pdf

So they're copying Minnesota, I see.

It's surprising to see the change of drill schedule, but it seems they're sticking with it.

I think so. The 6:55 test is for families to practice their skills. The 1:45 test is for school classrooms to practice in what to do if there was really a tornado. Families last year and earlier wouldn't be able to practice these types of situations together.

Same deal with Indiana. School/buisness drill around 10:15, and a home drill around 7:30
In my opinion, I think there way too many 2001's in Indiana!

Would you happen to know if Ohio is also doing a later test, like around 7:30?
