Utah-ish Siren Hunt (Warning: Large Pictures!)

Mon Mar 21, 2016 4:01 am

I hope this is in the right forum, but recently my family went on a trip from Salt Lake City, UT to Mesquite, NV. We also went through the corner of Arizona. Anyway, here are the pictures I was able to get:

First up, the Beaver Dam, AZ Whelen Vortex:

Thanks for looking! If you want the locations for the sirens, please feel free to PM me!

That Model D is actually a Type A. The 2 skirts are straight and in the second photo you can see a screw hole in the upper skirt, showing that the ID plate is attached there. Is the A and the Champion still active?

Those are some good pictures, and those 2 model 2 sirens are cool to be seen that close to each other.

I don't think so. The Champion has it's wires disconnected.

I don't see the point of having 2 model 2's next to each other, and age shouldn't be the factor since they are still effectively the siren siren. Is it possible the older model 2 was damaged/defected somehow?
I own: One complete SiraTone, another SiraTone control module, a 1600W MC, 2 old ATI controllers, 2 round ATI horns with drivers, a ATI-DSA 4 thing, a Federal Signal FC, AR timer and Siratrol, and a small CD&F.

It most likely got it's motor burnt out by running it too long in the heat.

Why would there be two model 2s together?
