Whitehouse, TX /w Odd ATIs

Thu Apr 14, 2016 10:08 pm

Whitehouse has a system of rather odd ATIs. They are omnis that use black arrays somewhat resembling their rotating sirens that apparently have a single 400 watt driver behing each horn instead of the usual 4 100 watt driver solution. They are setup as HPSS32s. The town also has an old Darely STH-10, now more than likely defunct with the ATI system being installed. The University of Alabama uses this style of array.

Thats awesome! I always assumed they were just random speakers used as a siren, not a actual ATI branded siren.
I own: One complete SiraTone, another SiraTone control module, a 1600W MC, 2 old ATI controllers, 2 round ATI horns with drivers, a ATI-DSA 4 thing, a Federal Signal FC, AR timer and Siratrol, and a small CD&F.

Hmm. A special trip might be in order to go get some better pics of those. I wonder if those are new or old...

ATI offers alternative speaker options, these being Atlas horns. Not sure how old these are, but Ada and Owasso, OK have the same pole type as these and both systems were installed in 2004. Might be a clue.

Here's the city's siren info page. Uses tones from Federal. I believe FedSig and ATI have worked together before (DSA siren heads for ATI systems), so it's no shock to me.

I can confirm that they are ATIs, but could you tell me where the Darley is?
